This weekend, the France Macau Chamber of Commerce (FMCC) celebrates the spirit of French National Day – Bastille Day, with great enthusiasm. We had the privilege of participating in three remarkable events that showcased the rich culture and camaraderie of the Franco-Sino community.

In Macau, FMCC Chairman Mr. Rutger Verschuren, Vice-President Ms. Nacky Kuan and other FMCC members joined BASTILLE DAY 2024 as one of the partners, organized by Alliance Française Macao at Sofitel Ponte 16. The event was honored by the presence of esteemed guests including Mrs. Christile Drulhe, the Consul General of France in Hong Kong and Macao, Ms. Ma Naifang, Counsellor of Policy Research department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Macao SAR, Ms. Leong Weng In, Director of the Legal Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR, Mr. Bernard Peres, President of Alliance Française in Macau, Vinzenz Rosa de Pauli, General Manager of Sofitel in Macau.

The Bastille Day luncheon by La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Macau at City of Dreams was another highlight, where our Chairman, Mr. Rutger Verschuren, expressed our deep gratitude for the culinary excellence and the spirit of celebration.

Meanwhile, in Shenzhen, we connected with the vibrant Sino-French community, including Mr. Sylvain FOURRIERE, French Consul-General in Guangzhou, Ms. Camille Fourmeau, Economic Counsellor of French Consulate General in Guangzhou, Mr. Jérôme Coustans, Managing Director Guangzhou Office, Business France China, and the team from CCI France Chine, celebrating the evening with art and culture.

As we revel in this day of cultural unity, we extend our warmest congratulations to all and reiterate our commitment to fostering Franco-Sino friendship and cooperation.
